1. Purpose
The Paperless Policy aims to minimize paper usage across all academic, administrative, and operational functions of Lord Mahavira College of Education. This initiative aligns with the institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability, resource conservation, and the adoption of modern digital practices.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
• All teaching and non-teaching staff
• Students enrolled in all programs
• Administrative departments and support units
• All official communications, record-keeping, and reporting systems
3. Objectives
• Reduce paper consumption by promoting digital alternatives.
• Encourage the use of electronic communication and document management systems.
• Integrate eco-friendly practices into daily operations.
• Educate stakeholders on the importance of environmental conservation.
4. Policy Guidelines
1. Digital Communication:
• All notices, circulars, and announcements to be shared via email, institutional website, or approved digital platforms.
2. Electronic Documentation:
• All records, reports, and meeting minutes to be maintained in digital formats.
3. Online Academic Submissions:
• Assignments, projects, and assessments to be submitted via Learning Management Systems (LMS), email, or other designated online tools.
4. E-Meetings:
• Internal meetings to utilize online platforms where possible.
5. Minimal Printing:
• Printing to be undertaken only when absolutely necessary, using both sides of paper and recycled paper wherever possible.
5. Implementation Strategy
• Orientation and training sessions for staff and students on using digital tools effectively.
• Periodic monitoring of paper consumption levels.
• Feedback and suggestions from stakeholders to improve the policy’s effectiveness.
6. Responsibilities
• IQAC : Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the policy.
7. Review & Amendments
Note:This policy will be reviewed annually by the IQAC in consultation with stakeholders. Necessary amendments will be made to incorporate technological advancements and evolving sustainability practices.
